Oti Region is one of the newly created regions with Dambai as the regional capital. The region consist of nine (9) administrative districts, however Guan district is yet to be set up. Officially, administrative duties began after the creation of the region on 13th February 2019 in line with constitutional instrument (C.I) 114. The regional office is located in Dambai, the regional capital and situated near fire service office/adjacent municipal police station.

The registry is headed by Regional Registration Officer and the Deputy Regional Registration Officer. The registry comprises of eight registration Districts which are located in various facilities in all the District capital which are headed by District Registration Officers. Under the districts, the registry has 21 registries which manage registration activities.

The staff strength of the Registry stands at 18 (male 13 and female 5).
The registration expectation of the Region in 2022 is 26,021 (Male 12,776 and female 13,245), whiles deaths expectation 8,496. All are projections from 2010 Population and Housing Census by Ghana Statistical Service.
